Digital BW, The Print

It's very strange indeed.  I use 2 printers 2100, and did not see any problem.  Both printers deliver the same picture. (I work on Mac)

But way two identical printers under identical conditions printed two 
different pictures - and only visible difference in setup was dimmed 
2880 dpi in driver.

Is this possible?
