RE: [Digital BW] Adobe PS6.0 for photographers book question

2003-01-23 by Henrik

Hi Cleavis,

I have the same problem, I don't know what I am doing wrong here either. I
know what it is suppose to do, but I just can't seem to get it right

To Harry,

What we are trying to do is to create a luminous mask, one for highlight to
midtone and one for Shadow to Midtone, where we only apply a curve to those
specific areas where it is needed. I guess it is back to study again here, I
am sure it is just one click that is wrong! :-)

anyway, if anyone here got the answer please do not hesitate to post it :-)
<grin>

best regards

Henrik

I've got the book and really like it. Go back to it often;however on
page 243/245 there's a procedure of 'saving shadows'.

I've done it successfully in the past but for some reason, each time
I return to it, I've forgotten something. After inverting the alpha
channel & applying the curve for it, I then try to select it so I can
go back to the layers pallete and do the curves adjustment there BUT
I get the 'not enough pixels' selected error...usually bang my
keyboard for a while and happen into it enventually. Would like to
actually know it.

Did I make ANY sense? Not likely.

Sincerely,
Cleavis
