Just a heads-up to anyone out there with Gretag MacBeth ProfileMaker: Gretag MacBeth came out with a 4.1 version (a free upgrade from 4.0) last month. This upgrade adds some cool things like enabling the use of spectral data from a measuring device. This allows you to automatically adjust a profile for different illuminants (light sources). These include two daylights (5000 and 6500), tungsten, warm and cold florescent, and two different types of viewing boxes (GCI and Gregtag MacBeth). This doesn't eliminate metamerism, but adjusts your profile to accomodate it. Neat. Just thought I'd mention it because I'm a registered owner of ProfilMaker 4.0 and Gretag MacBeth never notified me -- I just happened to check their website.
