In black and white I've used Hannemule Photo Rag, Somerset Velvet Photo Enhanced, Epson Enhanced Matte and Eclipse papers. The Somerset shifts the most toward green and the Eclipse the least. However, the Hannemule prints the nicest, with the smoothest tonality, in a virtual tie with the Epson, which is the cheapest but not truly archival. For rich blacks, the Eclipse, Hannemule and Epson all come through well. The Somerset blacks aren't quite as rich. The Hannemule is creamier than either the Epson or the Eclipse Satine. Eclipse is the whitest but that's not always preferable in my experience. . .
