Digital BW, The Print

Hello Everyone

I recently started experimenting with a number of fine-art coated-
papers while still using the photo-black ink on my Ultrachrome Epson 
7600 printer. I am liking it so much, that I am seriously considering 
a swith to the matte-black. 

However, since this is an expensive proposition (due to all of the 
ink that is purged/wasted during the switch), and since doing so will 
preclude me from printing on glossy media (which I also like), I want 
to make sure that the resulting improvement is worth it.

Could you please comment on your photo-versus-matte-black 
experiences ?
