I don't use any back end settings. I have a shadowboost curve that raises the lower values from what it would be with the front end of only 15% dot gain. I know I have still got a lot to learn but this gives me consistent results with almost eny paper I use; which is Epson Photo Paper, Office Depot Matte paper, and Office Depot Glossy Photo Paper--and without any changes other that changing the front end to 15% and the shadowboost curve and printing BO. I may be going around my elbow to get to my thumb, but so far it works pretty good for me still to be a new BO printer. P.S. I like it and you like it and that's the only ones we need be concerned about. --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "Clayton Jones <cj@c...>" <cj@c...> wrote: > Hello Johnny, > > >I checked all the printer settings and found one crucial one > >that I failed to have changed...Before running out of ink > >again, I was able to make a few Black Only prints. > > Good show.
