I don't know which version of Photoshop you're using, but I don't need to reset my monitor and paper profiles every time I boot up. I hit Print, click the Custom radio button to select my settings (that takes care of the ink, paper, etc) and hit OK. I don't need to do a proof, and I usually have the Preview option turned off. Don't you have a way to save your custom settings and options in a file, and doesn't it remember your monitor and printer/paper profiles between prints? Mine does. (I'm running PS 6 on Win2K)
