Daniel Staver, who's a regular here, was passing some rumors/information over on Photo.Net he had heard to the effect that some products like that might be announced at PMA. Keep in mind if you go quad/hex (sept?) on your 2100, you'll have a hard time switching back to color. You might be better off buying a dedicated 1280 for BW if that's they route you want to go. Also Epson has a new RIP for $200 that several people are trying (with difficulty because it has no documention) to evaluate, which might solve the BW printing problem of the 2200. PS - What's up with that? 2 people say they bought the RIP and it had no documention. Since when do companies sell $200 products with no documention? What is that, another $200? Is that why IP is $500 (or whatever it is) - because it has a manual? If tech-writing pays that well I'm switching careers!
