Well, my clog is gone, but I'm not sure why. I went to the grocery store and they actually were kind enough to give me a syringe for free. And I bought some ammonia. I mixed it, loaded it in the syringe, moved the print heads over and removed the black cartridge, only to find that I had no idea how to catch the fluid that would pour out the bottom of the print head once I started squirting it in. I could not find a way to take the bottom off the printer, and I could not find a way to get anything under the print head without damaging or moving metal parts that apparently should not be moved. So I put the cartridge back in a figured I'd ask the list how to deal with catching the fluid, and then I printed another test. Apparently the Epson Gods was with me because this time it's OK. Printed a black only photo and it's great again. If anybody cares to explain, I'd love to understand the mystery of it all.......... Thanks, Ed http://lightandsilver.com
