A word of explanation on the prints Jerry mentions below. After all the various coating trials I did, I wound up with a big stack of coated prints. Some of them found their way to Todd and we started an impromptu circulation of the package of prints among about 10 people. My idea was to give people a chance to see what a vanished inkjet, in this case Piezo, print looked like and get their opinions. The idea was I would collect all the comments after everyone had seen them and post one big message. We thought that we would get 10 uninfluenced impressions this way. Unfortunately I forgot to enclose any kind of instructions with the prints before they got to Jerry. In any case, I am go to hold my comments for the moment and ask the rest of the group do the same. If anyone else would like to see them, let me know and I can add you onto the end of the list. Each participant is responsible for the cost of shipping to the next person on the list. These are not fine prints. I did the coating trials on work prints and the coatings are far from flawless. It is more an example of the possibilities of different coatings and papers combinations and not of what could be achieved in the quality area. I also included some uncoated prints for reference.
