Digital BW, The Print

I think I've tracked it down to some kind of PPD error. Any time my PPD long nickname ends in "Quad Tone" the printer won't print at all - it tries to open a connection for a couple seconds and then aborts. If the "Quad Tone" isn't present at the end of the nickname, it will print, but with black ink only (or something like that, without Roy's sw in any case) 

So it seems like something's getting munged in the PPD somewhere. Any ideas?
