Sorry, I know I've read some opinions on this but can't find it 
again.

Is it necessary to run color Epson carts through a new 1280 
before (in my case) the MIS VM set?

I understand it may be easier to repair/replace if there is no trace 
of 3rd party inks.

But,

I also recall something being said about solvents in Epson inks 
that are needed when first installing?
