Re: Nozzle Clogs on 1280 With MIS VM Cartridges

2003-03-04 by Jeff Korte <jeffkorte@mn.rr.com>

Tom,

I've been using a 1280 with VM inks with a CIS (nomorecarts) for
about a year and a half.

I developed a clog about two weeks ago that wouldn't clear.
Nothing worked (windex, ammonia, under the heads, syringed
into the nozzle... I assume now it was something other than a
physical clog.

Anyway, that was after a lot of prints. Rough repair estimate:
250.00 to 300.00. I bought a new 1280 and plan to use VM in
pre-filled carts until the new ink becomes available from MIS...

For what it's worth,

Jeff
