Tom, I've been using a 1280 with VM inks with a CIS (nomorecarts) for about a year and a half. I developed a clog about two weeks ago that wouldn't clear. Nothing worked (windex, ammonia, under the heads, syringed into the nozzle... I assume now it was something other than a physical clog. Anyway, that was after a lot of prints. Rough repair estimate: 250.00 to 300.00. I bought a new 1280 and plan to use VM in pre-filled carts until the new ink becomes available from MIS...
