RE: [Digital BW] Nozzle Clogs on 1280 With MIS VM Cartridges

2003-03-05 by Ed Mathews

I bought my 128o about 3 weeks ago. Midway through the original
cartridges it developed a clog in the black head. No amount of cleaning
cycles would clean it. I planned on cleaning it with ammonia and a
syringe, and took the cartridge out, then chickened out and just put the
cartridge back in. It was fine after that. So I ordered the MIS VM set
to try them ($60.00), and soon after installing them the clog came back.
Again, no amount of cleanings will touch it. So again, I took the
cartridge out and this time I went through with the ammonia cleaning,
put the cartridge back in. Still clogged. Tried 5 more cleanings.
Still clogged. Now the cartridges are about 2/3 gone and I have no idea
what to do next.

I realize this is no help to you, other then letting you know that I'm
going through the same thing as you right now, and in my case, I can't
blame it on the MIS inks. I think this is an Epson problem.

Thanks,
Ed
