True. EW thought store-bought paper was the greatest thing since night
baseball when it came out. I have had the pleasure of watching a contact
print made exactly as EW did, with a bare light bulb wrapped with Kleenex,
on grade one paper (and I might add, an original EW 8x10 neg, the Sand
Nude...). The resulting print will make you want to trash whatever
equipment you're using, digital or whatever, and give it up. For a little
while.
