Richard, > Has the Gen 4 fade to warm happen in your tests which >I believe are on "raw", unprotected paper? Yes, the Gen 4 K has warmed and faded more than the more pure pigment blacks in my tests. I put EAM test strips that have been thoroughly "cured" (i.e., a day old or more) in bright fluorescent light. I do not use glass. I'm sure the more protection you give the print, the longer it will last. However, I must say that UV sprays or coatings have not shown much effect in the fluorescent light tests. I suspect they make more of a difference in outdoor settings, where there is much more short-wave-length UV. As to your previous question, I've now heard that MIS is recommending a new cartridge for CFS systems. It appears to be based on simply the amount of ink it takes to get the old ink out of the sponge. I didn't hear anything about clogging, just potentially slightly inconsistent density and look due to the 2 inks mixing. Paul http://www.PaulRoark.com
