Basically that's all, but I'm using an MIS profile made for my epson printer for Torchon/Mueseum Parchment/Royal Riviera paper. (same paper, different names). The profile prints color prints very well, and almost gives a perfect black and white print. But I do need to add the little bit of magenta and minus 5 cyan in a color balance adjustment layer to get the tone I like. I've also tried printing the same image with a canned adobe duotone. It is the Purple bl4. However I have had to make the purple curve color a bit more magenta and a hair less cyan to get the nice tones. About the same amount of magenta and cyan that I had to add for the above print, that was printed from an RGB file. A duotone is not a color file, so in order to change the color slightly, you have to do it in the duotone color square. I was printing on Epson Arhival Matte papers. I always start tests on that paper, then go to either Torchon or Eclipse for the finals. Also, my color prints are made on an 1160, not a 1280. I will usually just make my black and white prints with the VM MIS inks on my 1280. I just wanted to see if you can get a really nice black and white print from the MIS color inks. You can. Jerry >
