Digital BW, The Print

I am very interested in Paul's new UltraTone inkset recently posted on MIS's website. According to MIS, if using a CIS the cartridges should be replaced with new ones because you can never get the old ink out of the sponge material inside the cartridge. I am using a nomorecarts unit on my Epson 1160 and was wondering if anyone has actually switched old cartridges for new? Does one simply pull the lines off with fingers? Will the vacuum seal inherent in these units still be good enough to reload the new cartridges as directed?
