Re: [Digital BW] New MIS UltraTone and CIS

2003-03-15 by Edward Wiseman

Sorry Alan..but you WILL have to chuck the old carts, and do a fresh install
on new carts..Not that big a deal (I've changed carts in my MO-MORE-CARTS
settup on 2 1160 Epsons about 4 times each)..Cost is about $35-40 each time
you do it (not including cost of the OLD ink left in the carts..

MIS's website. According to MIS, if using a CIS the cartridges should be
replaced with new ones because you can never get the old ink out of the
sponge material inside the cartridge. I am using a nomorecarts unit on my
Epson 1160 and was wondering if anyone has actually switched old cartridges
for new? Does one simply pull the lines off with fingers? Will the vacuum
seal inherent in these units still be good enough to reload the new
cartridges as directed?
