You can pull off the tubing, wash it out, & reuse it on new carts with a CIS. I believe instructions come with the replacement carts. I highly recommend latex gloves be worn when doing this messy procedure. I've done it & vacuum-filled the new carts successfully. Or you could buy new carts with new tubing attached from MIS & use it with your CIS hardware. You might have to buy new bottle caps from MIS or enlarge the holes in your existing bottle caps to allow for the thicker MIS tubing. -BK ----- Original Message ----- From: "A. According to MIS, if using a CIS the cartridges should be replaced with new ones because you can never get the old ink out of the sponge material inside the cartridge. I am using a nomorecarts unit on my Epson 1160 and was wondering if anyone has actually switched old cartridges for new? Does one simply pull the lines off with fingers? Will the vacuum seal inherent in these units still be good enough to reload the new cartridges as directed? > > Thank you, > Alan Huntley
