Forgive me for jumping in the middle of a thread (I've been away
awhile), but you could always suck the ink out the bottom of each cart
chamber of the CIS and return it to the bottle until the ink runs
clear and no foamy bubbles are apparent in the syringe. Use a syringe,
and if possible, a bottom fill adapter from MIS.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
