Digital BW, The Print

I've finally gotten my new VM setup running, and I printed the step 
wedges found in the files section, but I see no seperation in the 95-
100% area.

What's the remedy? What's the source of my problem?

Are my printer profiles too dark? Should I therefor create a custom 
curve to bring up those values and apply it before each print?
