Bernd, but you may see a difference in the "interpretation" of the grayscale depending on whether you are using ImagePrint in 1.8 or 2.2 Even then, it = won't match the densities of the "aims" as defined in IJC. Good to know th= ere is no quality difference, though, considering there is a $1,200 difference = between the two!!! > The OPM sample is a little bit less contrasty, but it is easy to > control this with the brightness and contrast sliders. Mostly, I believe it is "less contrasty" because of the open shadows that I= JC always produces. I say... better more open than more "plugged up"! > Only problem with OPM so far: > can“t manage to center the print on the paper; - even if I check > the "center" box, the print is put at the top margin of the sheet. That's not supposed to happen. I have not tested that aspect of the shippin= g version. I will test and let you know. But for precision centering - which = OPM is absolutely capable of, you have to follow this procedure. - go to the prefs, set them to 0,0 - Print a black square of your making (like 2x2cm) after you set the Top/le= ft to 0,0. - Measure the distance of the top left edge of the square from the edge of = the print, and enter those numbers (for top and left) in mm in the prefs. After this, and assuming you place your paper in the 7000 exactly at the same position to the right, centering should work (unless the OPM1.02 release has a bug it didn't have in earlier -beta - versions). > > BTW - are there any further test-profiles for the 7000 available?? ....well... as soon as I make some, I'll upload them here and let everyone = know.
