Can't help with the repair bur I am willing to bet that every time you print head tripped on the tubing you were printing a relatively small image or one that allowed the print head to rapidly change directions. When the print head is making short rapid directional changes there is an occilation set up in the tubing which can lead to the "tripping." To avoid this I installed a short piece of mat board (1-1/2"} extending out towards the left side of the printer on top of the K cartridge. This modification has eliminated the problem. The mat board was attached using double sided tape. Good luck.
