Steve
I use a 1200 with MIS-VM and a 2200. The 1200 blows
away the 2200 for b&w. I love my 2200 for color it
prints beutifully. I have seen output on the 2200
printed with the various RIPs and they aren't bad, but
I much prefer a dedicated b&w inkset. Also the b&w
from the 2200 w/o a RIP will change color from an icky
green/blue in daylight to a pinky/silly putty color
under tungsten light. Somewhere in the transition it
might be neutral and actually looks pretty good, but
in general we don't need our prints to have the
personality of Sybil. So 1200 for b&w and 2200 for
color.
Groovy
