I have a completely different suggestion. Why not go with Jon Cones new
system for Canon printers. The advantages are mainly around the fact that
it's very turn-key, uses industry standard ICC profiles rather than
complicated Piezo software, and best of all, the heads are interchangeable
so you can do color and black and white on one printer. Clogs are a non
issue because you can actually rinse the heads off under running water. The
results are superb and, in the near future, multiple toning options will be
available by utilizing the extra ink positions for toned inks.
