AFAIK, it depends on the lens design. Some maintain focus (most likely the
ones that doesn't change length when zooming and focus internally), some
not... I'm sure there will be more competent answers than mine.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
