Digital BW, The Print

Recently my 1200 has started to make a terrible grinding noise when I 
try and load paper.  The print head first slides over to the left (as 
it is supposed to do), but seems to go too far forcing the printer to 
make a horrible sound, like the gears are grinding.  I've tried 
resetting the printer as explained by fixyourownprinter.com, but it 
doesn't seem to fix the problem.

I think I may need to bring the printer in to be fixed.  Does anyone 
know of either a solution for fixing the printer, or a place I can 
bring it to in the San Francisco Bay Area?
