Does everyone really do this? I just put the cartridges on top of the amplifier on my desk without any special protection. I've had cartridges lying there for months which worked fine when I used them again. The cartridge seals itself automatically when not in the printer, so I don't really think extra protection is neccessary. > Can you also do it with other colors? or just the switchable black > position? You can do it with all of them. At the moment I'm switching between the ultratone BW inkset, the regular color inkset and also some containg experimental ink mixes. At any one time there will be around 15-20 cartridges standing on my desk, not being used. Some of the cartridges I'm refilling have been lying empty and unprotected in my bookshelf for five months. Haven't experienced a single clog so far. I honestly wonder what you have to do to make this printer clog, it just doesn't seem to happen. > I'm looking forward to CIS for 2200... It's a great printer! I'm really happy with mine. But what software are you using for neutral BW prints? -- Daniel Staver http://daniel.staver.no
