My favourite BW mag is SHOTS - and not just because i've had stuff published
in it. It takes risks, interesting images rather than treading the same old
LF 'isn't it beautiful never mind the content' school. It seems so hard to
find mags that offer you  a challenge rather than a syrup bath. I like
LensWork, but it has gotten predictable, although it has a valuable place as
a print provider and resource. Iwas thinking about this yesterday. I've just
been given a copy of 'Olmsted in Perspective' with landscape  images by
Burley, Friedlander and James. Real meat in there. If only i could find a
mag that offered a fraction of the food for thought I got in that.
