Joe Good choice for the printer and both Paul Roark's curves with the MIS variable tone inks and piezography are are good choices. I have use the piezography system (the photoshop plug-in) for three years and I can recommend it. It does have profiles for various papers and will get you printing very high quality B&W prints in a very short time. Although getting started is easy and there is a minimum of fussing around it is a more expensive solution. You can defray these costs by purchasing piezo compatible inks from MIS but they warm more than the current piezotone inks. You can also purchase the plug-in from the original developer of the software at www.bwguys,com I have not used the variable tone inks or Pual's Workflow but so many people on this list do use them trouble free that it is fair to say that you are unlikely to have trouble getting started here as well. If you do, someone on this list will probably give you the answer. Good luck -- Kevin Gulstene www.dockwalker.com > I am about to purchase my first inkjet printer.
