Don't spend your money on any RIPs, at least to solve this problem.
(Epson should be ashamed of themselves for charging for a RIP
that actually allows - with considerable pain, as I understand it -
the printer to do something they claim it does right out of the
box).   If you want the Epson RIP, please pirate it :-)
