Paul, Does your statement -- "However, most of the image improvement that has been noted with the 1160 and its new curves is due to my having learned a lot about curves in the last 2 years. The old curves worked about as well for UT inkset as they did with the vm inkset." -- imply that the ultratone curves for the 1160 would give better results than the old 1160 VM curves when using VM ink? Further questions -- is the black ink the only one that is necessary to change to get rid of the problems with semi-gloss paper? If so, is it reasonable to just swap out the black cartridge when printing on semi-gloss? How many purge pages does it take to clear? I am assuming the cartridges self seal -- is this right?
