Probably not.  The highlights will be smoother.  However, there are some
absorption differences that may make the ramp with the old vm inks less
smooth.

Yes.  Just stick in a "Photo black"  (like I just did this morning).

Yes.

I just put in a fresh/new cart, and it took no cleaning.  However, when I
put in a half used cart, there is typically some air that gets in the line.
I think 3 cleaning cycles is typically what it takes, but I've never paid
that much attention.  Printing purge pages is too slow for an impatient
person like me.
