Peter Marquis-Kyle when talking about the MIS CIF system wrote >> Several times the print head has gotten tangled in the tubing >>. I had the same thing happen to me, once, with the No more Carts System on my 1290. Fortunately, no damage was done but I devised the following easy solution to this problem which has worked without trouble for about a year now. Cut a thin piece of clear, flexible, plastic about 4 cms wide and 7 cms high. I got mine from the the plastic commonly used in display packs for items like small tools at DIY stores. Insert this between the cartridge and the left side of the black cartridge holder in the 1290 so that the plastic protrudes above the holder by about 3 or 4 cms. A small blob of BluTak will hold it securely. The CIF tubing is then partially supported by this plastic strip which will curve slightly to the left under the weight of the tubing. It acts a bit like a flexible spring and gives the tubing that extra bit of suport needed to minimise risk of entanglement. Being flexible it exerts minimum pressure on the tubing and does not cause any wear. Something similar could probably be devised for the 1160. Len Salem
