Re: Epson 2400 vs 3200 scanner - PART TWO

2003-07-09 by David Jackson

Thanks to everyone (Doug, Alan, Richard, Russ, and Andre) who took time to
reply to my original question.

I'm going to have to double-check to be sure about the 2400 vs 2450 model.
I'm pretty sure that it was the 2400 for $178, but, actually, when I wrote
my question to the group, I was mistakenly THINKING of the 2450.

I can afford the additional $ to get the 3200 over the 2400 and probably
will go that route.

NEW QUESTION: The 3200 seems a little long in the tooth. Does anyone have
any info or rumors about an update or new model from Epson before I put
down my hard-earned cash?

I've read some comment that, with so many people going to digital cameras,
there is no longer the drive to develop improved consumer-grade scanners
for the market and that the roll-out of new models was expected to slow.

Many thanks for your time and assistance.

David Jackson
