I for one don't want a newer model... but, if a new one comes out in a month or two there will be a drop in prices on the current model, so I see that as a very good reason to wait. For me, a wait of less than 3 months would be acceptable otherwise I'd go with the current lline. Apparetnly film scanners aren't quite the same as most technology/computer products. The "wait a few months and something better will come along" doesn't seem to be as true given how long the current generation have been around. I'm actually hoping Minolta comes out with a new Medium Format model soon so their current model goes down in price. I would prefer that over the Nikon.
