Digital BW, The Print

Hi all,

Is anyone using the 2000p as a black-only printer?  I
have a recently deceased 860 at my side which did a
great job with black only printing.  

For historical record, I have walked the green mile
(piezography w/ piezotones) as well as burning through
a CIS of Full Spectrum inks.  Not being really content
with either quadtone set, I tried the b.o. printing -
and the simplest solution was indeed the best solution
for my work.  

Now, as I am in need of replacing my printer, I would
prefer to have a larger size print, and am caught
between the 1280, 2000p, and the 2200.  I really don't
have a need or want the 2200 (spendy) and the 1160's
are getting a bit long in the tooth.  Is anyone using
the 2000p as a black only printer? I am very
interested in your thoughts.  Additionally, I am not
dedicated to Epson if anyone is having success with
Canon or HP's wide format printers.
