This is a FYI for users of MIS-FS ink sets (those of us who haven't yet switched to the increasingly popular Roark approach.) The MIS site has John Woolf's workflows for the Epson 980 and 1160 which give excellent results indeed. If one examines the prints with a loupe, however, printing dots are readily visible in the lighter tones. (This may also be unimportant to you.) If you are using an 1160 there is an alternative in the Jeff Randall workflow, also available at the MIS site. Unlike John's WF, Jeff's is a partitioned RGB WF, therefore a bit more work. But the effort is easily worth it. There are absolutely no print dots from this WF, none. Tonal fidelity/separation is excellent, as evident from a 50- step wedge. A similar WF for the 980 is, unfortunately, not available. HFL
