For $10 you can get a service manuel. Go to the MIS site, go to the front [main] page look for "new", go down 11 items and you'll see the download information. I have bought two service manuels from this site and am pleased. Just checked and they have a 2000 Epson Manuel. The manuels have the reset procedure for the individual printers. I don't have a 2000 so I can't help. If you have a paypal account, you get the down load withing seconds. Might save you lots of money. It also has the procedure to change ink pads. You could probably get by for a couple of months on just a reset if thats the problem. Ron
