I'm in Australia, not the EU, but this might help:

My 1160, according to the label near the power inlet, needs 220-240V at 50-60Hz
(and the Setup Guide says 'Caution: It is not possible to change the printer's
voltage. If the rated voltage and your outlet voltage do not match, contact your
dealer for assistance. Do not plug in the power cord'.)

Which does not seem very useful to our American cousins....
