Myth: was Any New 2200 BW for PC's?

2003-07-26 by Clayton Jones

Hello Peter,

>2. Use black-ink-only. No metamerism but very dotty and contrasty.

Since you continue to perpetuate the myth that BO printing is
contrasty, I will continue to debunk it: BO printing is not any more
contrasty than any other BW printing technique. It has the ability to
accurately render any degree of contrast the image posesses, with
excellent shadow detail and subtle tonal gradation. If a BO print is
contrasty it is because the image was contrasty to begin with.

As for your question:

>I've been mostly away from the forum since then so __MY QUESTION__
>is whether there have been any important NEW developments for BW
>printing on a 2200 for PC users since then.

Look for an announcement soon of an important new system for the 2200.

Regards,
Clayton
