Peter, Does it really matter that you can see dots in an inkjet print? Most paintings are made with brushes, and you can usually see the brush strokes. That doesn't seem to put people off spending $millions on paintings. Of course you can see dots in an inkjet print if you want to; same as you can see grain in a chemical print if you want to. But you can also just see the image if you want to; the brain is very clever at ignoring unwanted details.
