Thanks to responses posted here and to several helpful emails from Roy. As Roy suggested, the error message displayed after trying to install QTRIP was not indicative of a failed installation. The program was in fact installed in spite of the "errors were detected...try again" message. My subsequent problem with Run-Quad-Profile was traced to the need for the BSD subset, which I discovered was missing from my OS 10.2.6 system. I was able to add BSD using the "Options" folder on the installation disk. Now I'm able to print from PS 7.01 using QTRIP, and the results have been very promising. BTW, I encountered the same difficulty as described by a previous poster with respect to running Roy's new "2200-cool" and "2200-warm" ink-descriptor files. Neither of them would work in Run-Quad-Profiles in spite having correct printer name, etc. Each time the result was: "printer does not exist." As in the previous case, the required workaround was to transfer the new ink limit values to an existing file (e.g., 2200-neutral), and then rename the file accordingly. Phil
