I use Krylon "Crystal Clear" #1303 and give it 3 light coats and 
never have any problems.   I use the MIS dye based inks and MIS 
quad black archival.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
