I'm not so sure about that.  (I'm at work, so can't check for sure).
But I seem to remember wanting to print borderless on some smaller
non-standard size paper and it wouldn't do it - or at least, the
"Borderless" check-box was grayed-out.

And for sure it will not print borderless when in "matte" mode
(the matte-black cartridge installed).
