Gareth, >I have just had delivery of a CIS with UT to work on my 1270. The 870/1270 vm "NCA" curves are probably the best curves for the UT inkset and the 1270. I have not made UT-specific curves for the 1270. The old vm and new UT inksets use the same densities. I found on my 1160 the old curves worked quite well. The UT inkset was designed so that the "nc" curve would produce a neutral print with a slight "selenium" bias. Let us know what curves work the best on the 1270. There are older 1270 curves out there also. I have not heard whether the 1280 UT curves work on the 1270. In general, the curves only work well with the driver they were designed for. Paul http://www.PaulRoark.com
