The required volume for stand processing (completely
covering the film) would be greater than what the unit
itself is rated for in weight.  In other words - if
you completely filled the tank you would most likely
burn out the rotation motor.  However, since stand
development is utilized with high dilutions - it is
fine just to fill up the tank with developer and use
as a hand-inversion tank.
