Digital BW, The Print

Since several bursts of fresh  highly diluted developer are possible by
sequencing is it possible to consider using a Jobo processor for stand
developing?  Would a full drum/tank cover the film?  Would one just turn off
the processor?

Depends on how you fill the tank. You'd probably need at least the volume
listed on the tank for normal inversion development, probably even more - to
the point where there was very little air in the tank at all. I also don't
think it is possible at all if you have a lift and are using the drums with
the lift cogs attached - you'd find the developer would part drain.

The required volume for stand processing (completely
covering the film) would be greater than what the unit
itself is rated for in weight.  In other words - if
you completely filled the tank you would most likely
burn out the rotation motor.  However, since stand
development is utilized with high dilutions - it is
fine just to fill up the tank with developer and use
as a hand-inversion tank.
