Here is how I tried to answer a similar question on the Piezography3000 group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/piezography3000/message/22908 Unfortunately, I don't think there is a simple answer to your question> Personally, the more I think about it, the more I am inclined to go with Epson 2200 and either bite the bullet and buy ImagePrint 5.6 ($495) or try experimenting with QuadToneRIP 2.0 (free) to get both neutral B+W prints and color prints on one printer. But, NO the Epson 2200 will not produce decent B+W prints out of the box using the Epson driver and the UC OEM inks. Hopefully, Epson or Canon will come out with an OEM B+W solution soon.
